The Snowbirds are Coming

Winter is near. Yesterday a cold front came through south Florida. It was a rainy dreary day. Last night the temperature plunged into the high 70s.

We have had a number of Snowbird sightings at the local malls. Among them were flocks of yellow bellied sapsuckers, coveys of ruby breasted nut slingers, a few silver topped ccots and some stoned terns. The real turkeys will arrive after Thanksgiving.

I plan to start thinking about Christmas shopping on Dec 24th about 6pm. That is my usual schedule because it makes the task easy. I say, "Why do it now? Let's wait till next year."
